“You would think that after two weeks of inaction, Assembly Democrats would finally be ready to do their job – but no. The Assembly Republican Conference, in an effort to ensure that holding Governor Cuomo accountable remained a priority, attached an amendment to every bill that was supposed to be considered by the Assembly today. None of the original bills would have addressed the Governor’s emergency powers. Assembly Democrats took their inaction one step further today by canceling session just to avoid voting on the amendment attached to every bill.”
