Statement from Assemblymember Reilly on today’s decision from the Supreme Court of the United States to block the Biden Administration’s vaccine-or-test mandate

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 13, 2022

The following statement is from Assemblymember Michael Reilly (R-Staten Island) following a decision by the Supreme Court of the United States to block the Biden Administration’s vaccine-or-test mandate…

“Today’s decision by the Supreme Court of the United States to block the Biden Administration’s vaccine-or-test mandate for private businesses with 100 or more employees is consistent with what I’ve said all along: vaccine mandates are illegal!  Citing the Court’s reasoning, it is clear that similar vaccine mandates enacted by Governors and Mayors across the country have no legal standing, which I why I am now calling on New York Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Eric Adams to terminate their respective vaccine mandates currently impacting our small businesses given this newly established precedent.”
