Statement from Assemblymember Reilly in response to Governor Cuomo’s State of the State address

The following is a statement from Assemblymember Michael Reilly in response to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State and Budget Address today at the capital.

“In his speech, Governor Cuomo mentioned that “New York does not believe in divide and conquer,” but he spent the entirety of his approximately 90-minute speech doing the complete opposite,” said Assemblymember Michael Reilly (R-South Shore). “If we are going to be a diverse state, then we must start by respecting and engaging everyone, everywhere. He did not embrace diversity from both sides of the aisle in his address, but he did deliver a message that will continue to drive people out of New York.”
